Chinese New Year & Spring Festival 2018
As you know, Bio Technics operates a facility outside of Shanghai, China for the manufacture of our Endurocide® Hospital Disposable Curtains. Our facility, along with China as a whole, has annual holidays in February 2018 to celebrate Chinese Spring Festival.
Their festival holiday period next year is between February 15th – 22nd. Even though the actual holiday period is relatively short, this break is not too dissimilar to the Christmas & New Year period in the UK, in that you will find many suppliers begin winding down prior to the holiday and it can be difficult to get freight forwarders to deliver/collect before and after the break.
What does this mean for you?
We would suggest that you begin checking your stock levels and placing any orders you require as soon as possible. While looking at your stock requirements, it’s worthwhile to factor in the busy Christmas period. Even though our Chinese facility will still be operating throughout December and we will still be able to dispatch orders, the shipping lines can become very busy and it can often be difficult for us to guarantee last minute deliveries towards the end of the year.
